What You Don't Need To Do
Content Preparation and XML DeliveryThe content preparation process is based on a complex business model engine which has to deal with several components. Basepoint Media takes care of these processes for you to focus on your core business.
Basepoint Media has created a system designed to work in multiple regions which can handle multiple currencies, product variants, pricing tiers and codes through multiple portals.
Developers are working to secure complex and changing operation procedures.
The system can process daily updates of metadata. From the time the audio and metadata is delivered to us, it only takes less than 24 hours to make the content available online in your shop - on the specific release date you want. The content preparation process is a matter of quality assurance.
An Example of a Generic Metadata Delivery:
Reporting
To measure the customer sales activity Basepoint Media provides a Royalty System Report every Monday.
The customer has access to a secured web interface where he can overview his weekly sales figures and extract data to a csv document (a format which can easily be imported to Excel or other database programs). The customer and labels can for a given period of time gain access to the complete sales figures.
The CSV Document Contains:
- Name of the artist
- Album and track name
- Label
- Date and time of sale
- Payment ID
- End user price (retail price)
- VAT
- PPD price (Publishing fee)
- Number of tracks and albums sold
- Number of transactions made
- Total retail revenues and PPD revenues
In addition, Basepoint Media is invoicing the content owner fees (PPD) and the Basepoint Media’s fees.
