The Micro Shop Concept

The shop can be produced in as short time as 20 minutes by our experienced web designers and will provide the artist or corporation with a unique opportunity to reach customers with their music or campaigns.

Technology

The platform makes extensive use of Web 2.0 technology such as AJAX (Asynchronous Javascript and XML) to create an interactive web application.

By using AJAX the shop becomes more responsive by exchanging small amounts of data with the server behind the scenes which means that the entire web page does not have to be reloaded each time the user makes a change. This increases the shop’s interactivity, speed, and usability and ultimately creates a better user experience.

The media distributed through the shop can either consist of plain simple MP3 files or protected with digital watermarks. You can also choose to use Windows Media and combine it with advanced Digital Rights Management (DRM).

The Standard Micro Shop

The process of creating the Standard Micro Shop rely on the artist/customer providing Basepoint Media's web designers with some basic information and can – when this has been received – be produced in less than an hour. The shops are all based on some predefined templates.


The Customized Micro Shop

The Customized Micro Shop has the same properties as the Standard Micro Shop except that this shop can be further customized. Text color and font as well as buttons and images can be changed. Depending on the amount of customizations this shop can typically be produced in less than a day – with extensive browser compatibility testing included.

The B2B solution is a great tool for the coorporation wishing to include music or video downloads as a part of its web strategy.
